Our days are governed by the needs and routines of the children I have on each particular day and therefore may be different from day to day, week to week, month to month, depending on who is here, how old they are and they also change as children develop and grow.
I care for school age children as well as pre-school; this necessitates walks up to the local school twice a day, which the pre-school children enjoy whatever the weather.
I have a wide range of toys and equipment to suit all needs and stages of development in children.
I regard snack and meal times as a very important part of the day. Eating represents a social time for children and adults and helps children to learn about healthy eating.
All children are provided with milk, water to drink freely throughout the day. The children will all sit together to eat and be encouraged to use good manners whilst eating, sitting nicely at the table to ensure a friendly and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy their food. Children will also be encouraged to help out at meal times.
We also love baking and quite often make yummy things to have for lunch or take home!
I like to take the children out as often as possible, whether to local parks, beaches or woods to help promote their physical development and understanding of the world, playgroups for enhancing their social skills and other local attractions to give them new opportunities to understand the world and explore new things.
